AirAsia and KidZania Kuala Lumpur celebrates International Children’s Day with fun-filled programme

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 November 2017 - AirAsia and KidZania recently celebrated International Children’s Day at Kidzania Kuala Lumpur with a special programme for children to experience and shine like an Allstar, a name given to AirAsia staff.

As part of the celebration, AirAsia and KidZania hosted children with a fun-filled day of learning activities. The children were given the opportunity to role play as a chef, where they had hands-on experience to bake a pizza, one of the kids meals available on AirAsia flights. The children were also taught how to be well-groomed and confident with a smile on their face like AirAsia’s award-winning cabin crew with a grooming session conducted specially for them.

Head of Commercial for AirAsia, Spencer Lee said, “We are truly privileged to be a part of this event to celebrate children and I would like to thank our partner, KidZania Kuala Lumpur for making this special occasion possible on International Children’s Day. It is most gratifying for us at AirAsia to see smiles light up on the children's faces as they look forward to becoming our very own little Allstars. This is also an opportunity for us to take time off from our busy schedules to ensure that our children can grow up in a safe, innovative and enriching environment, such as what KidZania offers.”

Mayor of KidZania Kuala Lumpur, Shahrul Nizar Ahmad said, “We are delighted to be involved in this initiative to celebrate children, the core reason of our existence. At KidZania Kuala Lumpur, we always look forward to meaningful collaboration that inculcates great values and enriches the experience for kids. We do hope to see more collaboration that would contribute to educate our future generation such as this initiative with more forward thinking partner like AirAsia Berhad.”

Named as the world's best low-cost airline for nine years running, AirAsia strives to offer the best cabin experience to make flying more enjoyable for all guests. These include products and services developed especially young guests, including the recently launched Lil' Star Combo Meal snack box, extensive range of AirAsia merchandise and free ROKKI inflight entertainment featuring a fun range of games and the latest episodes of hit Malaysian animation series Ejen Ali.

Ejen Ali fans who present the Ejen Ali Lil’ Star Combo packaging available on AirAsia Malaysia (airline code AK) and AirAsia X Malaysia (D7) flights at the KidZania sales counter can also enjoy 30% off the KidZania Kuala Lumpur entrance fee.

AirAsia and Ejen Ali also invite parents to submit a photo of their kids in action via AirAsia’s Facebook, Instagram and Twitter from now until 31 December 2017 as part of the #MisiAspirasiAirAsia campaign to / inspire and empower more children to be future leaders of the world.
