AirAsia Carry-On Allowance Reminder
SEPANG, 8 March 2017 - AirAsia would like to remind all guests about carry-on requirements* to ensure quick, comfortable boarding and sufficient storage onboard for everyone
Guests are allowed only one cabin bag measuring 56 x 36 x 23cm (including handles and wheels) plus one small bag, such as a laptop bag or handbag, measuring 40 x 30 x 10cm. The total permitted weight for the two pieces must not exceed 7kg.
Guests with carry-on baggage that is overweight, oversized or exceed the allowed quantity will be charged excess baggage fees on a per kilogram basis or gate baggage fees.
Guests are encouraged to pre-book checked baggage allowance online when booking their flight or through Manage My Booking.
Multiple items that are strapped, wrapped or tied together will not be counted as one piece of cabin baggage.
Duty-free items purchased at the airport are exempt from carry-on requirements, provided they are packed in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag (STEB) and are within the duty-free allowance of the destination country. Such items must be accompanied with proof of purchase until disembarkation.
All other purchases, including free gifts from duty-free outlets, will count as part of the cabin baggage allowance.
Infants below the age of 2 are not allocated any cabin baggage allowance, while children aged 2 and above will receive the same allocation as adults.
When travelling with infants or children, please be reminded that prams, strollers and buggies cannot be brought onboard but can be checked in for free.
