AirAsia India dedicates its latest digital campaign to women on International Women’s Day this year

BENGALURU, March 8, 2017 - Acknowledging International Women’s Day, AirAsia India, a pioneer in the low cost carrier segment, has released its latest campaign #FlyWithAirAsia that celebrates Indian women who revel in their individuality, with aspirations that transcend rules. The campaign goes live on 8 March 2017 and will run on its social media channels - Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The digital film depicts women across age groups, living the lives they wish for themselves,
unbridled and free. With Piyush Mishra, prolific film and theatre actor, narrating the story in
his trademark baritone, the film shows diverse women, all of whom hail from different parts
of the country. Women, wherever they’re from, have something in common. No matter what
their aspirations are, they all desire to spread their wings and chase their dreams. This International Women’s Day, AirAsia salutes the passionate and ambitious spirit of the modern Indian woman.

In the end, we see the film beautifully connect the “Bindi” to all the destinations on AirAsia
India’s network, driving the message that AirAsia doesn’t just represent cities, but people and their stories.

Speaking about the concept of the film, Amit Agarwal, Head of Content, Circus Elephants said, “When the client shared the concept they had for Women’s day, we knew that we had to design it not only to get the brand guidelines right, but also make an impact on the audience who will be hailed with lots of women centric messages during that time. The challenge was to make it different yet very relevant to what the brand stands for – the aspiration to fly.

Sharing their experience of working with AirAsia India on this project, Ritesh Shastri, Business Director, Circus Elephants said, “We love working with AirAsia. When we were approached with the brief, our first challenge was not just to live up to the expectations but also raise the bar set in our earlier projects together. The trust and support extended by the AirAsia India team complemented our efforts and helped us achieve what we set out to do.

Kiran Jain, Commercial Director, AirAsia India stated that “We take great pride in our women
every single day. Today being International Women’s Day, we pay tribute to all the women
around the world who continue to break barriers to achieve their dreams.”

Piyush Mishra, Film & Theatre actor who has done the voiceover for the film said, 'It was a
great concept, beautifully written; I was happy to be a part of this film as it pays tribute to
women who dream of flying high in life.'

To further celebrate this day, AirAsia India will be operating 2 flights between Bengaluru &
Chandigarh and Delhi & Goa on March 8 that will be operated by all women crew.

be bound by the stereotypes. AirAsia India, which currently employs 463 women across the
