The Bachelor’s Zac Franich laps up AirAsia X Premium Flatbed

AUCKLAND, 9 April 2017 - The Bachelor New Zealand’s Zac Franich has travelled in style to Thailand in his quest for love in season three of the hit Three television production.

The latest instalment of The Bachelor New Zealand series saw Zac and the remaining bachelorettes fly to exotic Thailand with Asia’s award-winning low-cost carrier AirAsia X, as he chooses one lucky lady to be the one.

AirAsia X flew the cast and production crew to Thailand aboard an Airbus A330 where Zac was able to enjoy the comforts of a premium flatbed and an onboard date with Bachelor New Zealand contestant Lily McManus-Semchyshyn before arriving in Thailand.

Arik De, Chief Commercial Head for AirAsia X Berhad said the airline was delighted to be involved in the third series.

“It’s the most talked about TV show for viewers in the 25-54 demographic and also on social media right now and features one of our most popular destinations, Thailand. Hence it was a natural fit for us,” Mr De said.

“Kiwis are very much in love with Thailand so the visual integration into the show and the opportunity to host Zac, Dominic and the girls onboard has been a great alignment for the AirAsia brand in New Zealand.”

AirAsia X, together with AirAsia, provides Kiwis with low cost fares and an extensive network of more than 120 destinations in Asia, Australia, New Zealand, the Middle East and the US. AirAsia X flies to Thailand from Auckland via Kuala Lumpur from NZD$299* one-way. For bookings or further information, visit www.airasia.com.

AirAsia was named World's Best Low-Cost Airline for the eighth year in a row at the 2016 Skytrax World Airline Awards and the World's Leading Low-Cost Airline for the fourth straight year at the 2016 World Travel Awards.
