AirAsia adds connectivity to Indonesia, soon flying to Bali from Kolkata!

Book return flight from as low as INR 10,999 and start flying from 1 October 2017

KOLKATA, 17 August 2017 – AirAsia Indonesia today launched a new route from India’s eastern cultural city, Kolkata, to the dream holiday island, Bali, Indonesia, making it the second city in India after Mumbai to have a more seamless flight connection to Bali.

To celebrate the launch, AirAsia Indonesia is offering special all-inclusive fares from as low as INR 5,990 one way or INR 10,999 return for travel beginning 1 October 2017 until 28 August 2018. The special fares are available online at airasia.com and AirAsia mobile app starting today until 20 August 2017.

With this new service, flying to Bali from Kolkata will only be approximately seven and a half
hours. This includes a brief stop in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, making it the fastest option of getting to Bali from Kolkata.

Dendy Kurniawan, Group CEO of AirAsia in Indonesia commented, "We are delighted to launch Kolkata-Bali which will further strengthen connectivity between India and Indonesia. The demand for air travel between the two countries has been strong. The number of Indian visitors to Indonesia grew by forty percent in the first semester of 2017 compared to the same period last year, making India the top three contributors to tourist arrivals in Indonesia. We are committed to contribute further to the growth of Indian visitors to Indonesia."

"We also learned that many travellers from India spend significant amount of time transiting
in other cities to reach Bali. We hope that this new route will enable our guests to enjoy a more seamless connection between Kolkata and Bali."

Kolkata-Bali is AirAsia Indonesia and AirAsia Indonesia X's fourth new route this year following the launch of Mumbai-Bali, Tokyo Narita-Bali, and Jakarta-Macau.

An endless source of excitement, Bali offers plenty of everything for everyone. From wide
array of sandy beaches for beach lovers and avid surfers, naturally-crafted rice paddies that
offers sight to behold for laid-back honeymooners, the serenity of Ubud for yoga enthusiast,
to iconic traditions that blend peacefully with pop-friendly culture that will allure just about
every traveller.

The Kolkata-Bali route will be served by AirAsia Indonesia (flight code QZ) four times weekly
using Airbus A320 with a capacity of 180 seats. Guests can also enjoy a variety of products on board such as Santan hot meals, comfort kit, hot seats, and many more.
