AirAsia celebrates kids new meal combo by giving away free inflight meals

SEPANG, 28 September 2017 - AirAsia surprised its young guests today by giving away the recently launched Lil’ Star Combo meal to all children* travelling on all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights.

Over 7,000 children on board 1,000 short and long-haul flights across AirAsia’s entire network received their free Lil’ Star Combo, which consists of a mini pizza, drink and a special snack box containing snacks catered to suit kids’ tastebuds.

AirAsia Group Chief Commercial Officer Siegtraund Teh said, “We want children to enjoy inflight food as much as their parents do. Food is inextricably linked to the experience of flying, and we see good food as a core component of our award-winning cabin experience. With that in mind, we created the Lil’ Star Combo, a kids meal that isn’t just tasty and affordable, but also fun to eat.

“And it’s not just kids meals. We are also working on other additions to the menu like breakfast meals and healthy options, which we plan to roll out in the near future as the Santan brand continues to evolve into a full-fledged gourmet restaurant in the sky.”

With Lil’ Star Combo treats guaranteed to delight, young travellers now have a new, exciting reason to fly AirAsia. Parents travelling with children can pre-book the meal for only RM10 for AirAsia flights (carrier code AK) and RM15 for AirAsia X flights (carrier code D7) across all AirAsia destinations on airasia.com.

For parents, AirAsia offers a variety of Santan inflight meals that feature the flavours of Asia, from fragrant nasi lemak and delectable chicken rice to our latest onboard offering, grilled salmon onigiri with miso soup.

Guests are encouraged to pre-book Santan meals via Manage my Booking on airasia.com to enjoy a wider variety of meals, greater savings and priority meal service onboard.
