AirAsia India starts check-in for flights at New Delhi Metro Station

The guests can travel light to the airport by dropping their luggage at the check-in counters

New Delhi, 25 November 2019 – AirAsia India launches its check-in facility at the New Delhi metro station, where customers get their boarding passes at the AirAsia India counters set up at the Metro station. The guests will be able to check-in at these counters two hours to twelve hours before the scheduled departure of their respective flights.

This check-in facility is to make the travel of the guests convenient. This not only saves their time but ensures a smooth boarding procedure.

Speaking of which, the COO of AirAsia India Mr. Sanjay Kumar said, "We are extremely thrilled about this launch as this gives us a stellar opportunity to cater to our guests efficiently and make their travel experience a hassle-free and memorable one. As a budget airline, we strive to provide affordable flying experience to all our guests. With 40 daily departures from New Delhi, the commencement of check-in counters at the Metro station is a great initiative to ease and expedite the travel process for our guests. Metro services in New Delhi are an integral part of the commute to facilitate convenient, affordable and faster travel. The metro check-in service also reduces the burden of baggage and allows our guests to check-in their luggage and receive their boarding pass at the AirAsia counter at the station itself. With the advent of this service, we hope more and more customers can take advantage of this facility.”

Adding to the same, Dr. Mangu Singh, Managing Director, The New Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), said: “This expansion of the city check in facility will immensely benefit the business travellers as well as the railway passengers who plan to reach the airport using the Airport Express Line. I hope that this shall pave the way for many more passenger oriented projects in the days to come."

This service shall commence from 19 November 2019.
