Travel Advisory: CMCO in Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Putrajaya

SEPANG, 14 October 2020 - AirAsia is complying with the implementation of the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya from 14 to 27 October 2020 as announced by the Malaysian government.

Guests with essential travel needs travelling during this period must obtain valid approval from Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM) before departure.

While most of our Malaysia domestic flights remain operational, affected guests departing between 14 and 27 October 2020 who do not wish to travel during this period can cancel their flights voluntarily and opt for:

  • Unlimited flight changes: Change to any new travel date before 31 December 2020 on the same route for an unlimited number of times without any additional cost, subject to seat availability.

Please use the AI chatbot AVA available on support.airasia.com, airasia.com or WhatsApp to make your selection by following the steps below:

  1. Select "COVID Flight Changes” from AVA's main menu

  2. Select "Domestic Travel Requirements Malaysia"

  3. Select either "I want to change my flight date"

  4. Proceed to the next steps as instructed by AVA

Guests affected by flight cancellation will receive a separate email or SMS detailing their available options.

We would like to remind all guests with essential travel needs to strictly adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) set out by the government, check all travel requirements and practise a high level of personal hygiene at all times.
