AirAsia Philippines partners with Celebrity Mom Cristine Reyes in promoting safe travel for kids

November 16, 2021 – AirAsia Philippines recently partnered with award-winning actress and social media influencer Cristine Reyes and daughter Amarah in promoting safe travel for kids.

Cristine and Amarah flew to Boracay last week for the long overdue mom and daughter bonding. This comes following the announcement of the government allowing intra and inter zonal travel outside Metro Manila especially for minors under Alert Level 2.

Cristine’s advocacy to help the airline and tourism industry’s recovery is promoted through her various social media pages (Facebook page 13M, Instagram 2.9M, Twitter 4.4M).

“There’s nothing to be afraid of when you travel nowadays. I guess what’s important is we are already aware of COVID-19 and how to fight it through vaccination and strictly observing established health and safety protocols. I am encouraging all the parents to not be afraid to go out because it’s very safe especially if you fly with your trusted airline that has gone over and beyond in assuring passengers the highest safety protocols are in place ,” said Cristine.

AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson Steve Dailisan said, “In AirAsia, we make sure that no one is left behind especially the children who have been patiently waiting for their time to once more reunite with the beauty and wonders of nature.”

“Lifting of travel restrictions among minors is very timely as we celebrate National Children’s month this November. We believe that the best lessons in life are learned through traveling.”

Ms. Universe 2018 Catriona Gray also took time off her busy schedule last week to visit the island paradise of Boracay.

Catriona shared how convenient domestic traveling can be for fully vaccinated individuals, and how supporting local economies can provide a big boost towards the recovery of the air travel and tourism sector.

The local government of Aklan has allowed the entry of fully vaccinated teenagers through an advisory issued 15 November.  Children 12 years old and below meanwhile will be allowed entry to the island provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian.  To date, 10 out of 11 AirAsia destinations are now open for leisure travel.

AirAsia Philippines continues to operate at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City until further notice.

AirAsia was recently awarded as AirAsia awarded Asia’s Leading Low-Cost Airline 2021 and Asia’s Low-Cost Airline Cabin Crew 2021 at the 28th World Travel Awards, the Business Innovation Award at the 2021 World Airline Awards from the aviation experts at Flightglobal, Best Low-Cost Airline in the world and in Asia for the 12th consecutive year by international airport and airline review and ranking site Skytrax.
