Celebrating airasia academy’s Graduating Class of 2022

Honouring the achievements of 204 graduates overcoming adversity to acquire 

new tech skills for the Digital Economy

SEPANG, 6 December 2022 - airasia academy celebrates its graduating Class of 2022 for their outstanding achievements in overcoming adversity and successfully reskilling themselves to compete in the highly competitive tech-centric job market with a new set of marketable skills for the digital economy. 

The inspiring group of 204 graduates who have recently completed their specialised tracks in Software Engineering, Data Analytics, Cloud Infrastructure, Digital Marketing, Cybersecurity and Soft Skills courses received their certificates during the airasia academy Graduation Ceremony held at AirAsia RedQ. Graduates consist of B40 women from the #RatuTech program sponsored by Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI), Airbus and Carsome, participants from the underprivileged and physically challenged under the Yayasan Peneraju full scholarship program as well as AirAsia’s workforce or better known as the Allstars.

President (Investment & Ventures) Capital A and Chief Executive Officer of airasia academy, Aireen Omar said: “Through hard work and determination, each of the graduates have been successfully reskilled and upskilled to join the highly in-demand tech talent pipeline for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0). I’m sure we can all agree that tech courses such as Digital Marketing, Software Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity or Data Analytics are not easy to pursue especially when most of them have no tech background. But they have made it and more than 80% have successfully landed jobs. I am truly proud and humbled by their achievements.”

Among those honoured today include valedictorians Siti Nur Kaiyisah Roslan from the #RatuTech program, Sabiha Ishak and Maizan Nordin representing the Yayasan Peneraju scholarship recipients and Allstar, Lee Xin Ying who were handpicked by the trainers for their outstanding achievements. Special mention goes to Chua Song An, a physically challenged person who was driven by his eagerness to learn which landed him a special scholarship in Software Engineering by airasia academy.

Director of Strategy & Innovation of airasia academy, Dr Ram Gopal Raj said: “To date, we have more than 8,700 learners and reskilled more than 1,200 students under the purview of airasia academy.
