AirAsia adds 43 extra flights frequencies for Hari Raya
SEPANG, 28 May 2018 – For the upcoming festive period, AirAsia will be adding 43 extra flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur, Johor Bahru and Kuching starting from 8 to 25 June 2018.
Flights from Kuala Lumpur to Alor Setar will increase from 31 to 38 times weekly one way; to Langkawi will increase from 61 to 65 times weekly one way; to Kuala Terengganu will increase from 35 to 39 times weekly one way; to Kota Bharu will increase from 56 to 63 times weekly one way and to Bandar Seri Begawan will increase from 14 to 17 times weekly one way.
Whereas, flights from Johor Bahru to Tawau will increase from 4 to 7 times weekly one way; to Kota Kinabalu will increase from 14 to 18 times weekly one way; to Miri will increase from 3 to 6 times weekly one way and to Sibu will increase from 7 to 11 times weekly one way. In addition, flights from Kuching to Sibu will increase from 21 to 25 times weekly one way.
AirAsia is also offering all-in-fares promotion starting today until 3 June 2018 for the travel period between 4 June and 30 October 2018. Fly from Kuala Lumpur to Langkawi, Penang, Alor Setar, Johor Bahru and more from RM40* one way, and from Kuala Lumpur to East Malaysia cities such as Kuching, Miri, Sibu, Bintulu, Kota Kinabalu, Labuan and others from RM75* one way. The promotion is also available for direct flights from other hubs such as Johor Bahru, Kuching, Kota Kinabalu and Penang.
In addition, guests may fly to international destinations with AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) from Kuala Lumpur to Medan, Singapore, Phnom Penh, Jakarta, Aceh, Padang, Pekanbaru, Hua Hin, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bandung and many more with all-in-fares promotion from RM60* one way. AirAsia X (flight code D7) is also offering all-in-fares promotion from Kuala Lumpur to Maldives, Melbourne, Hangzhou, Kaohsiung, Shanghai, Seoul, Jeju and Jaipur and more from RM129* one-way starting today until 3 June 2018 for travel period between 1 and 30 June 2018.
We would like to encourage all guests to arrive at the airport earlier at least three (3) hours prior to departure time for all AirAsia flights to avoid the expected congestion. Check-in counters close sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time for international flights and forty-five (45) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time for domestic flights. However, for klia2 check in counters for both international and domestic flights will close sixty (60) minutes before the scheduled flight departure time.
Guests are encouraged to conduct Self Check In via web, mobile app or kiosk services which are available fourteen (14) days and up to one (1) hour prior to departure time. However, guests with group booking, or reduced mobility or with special needs are only allowed to check-in at the counter and should allocate time to clear all travelling formalities.
Each guest is only allowed ONE (1) piece of main cabin bag on board that must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm and ONE (1) piece of small bag that must not exceed 40cm x 30cm x 10cm. The total permitted weight for TWO (2) pieces of cabin bags must not exceed seven (7) kg and should fit in the overhead compartment. Guests may add more check in baggage weight allocation via ‘Manage My Booking’ on airasia.com or AirAsia mobile app up to 4 hours before departure time.
For guests with check in bag, Baggage Drop counters will close sixty (60) minutes before departure time for all AirAsia flights. Besides the counters, guests may also use the Self Bag Drop machine which are available at airports across Malaysia. As congestion is expected at the security scanning and immigration checkpoints, it is best to complete baggage drop and proceed to the boarding gate as early as possible.
