Travel Advisory : Thai AirAsia X flights to operate from Suvarnabhumi Airport’s new SAT-1 Building from 28 September 2023 Check-in, immigration facilities to remain at Main Terminal

BANGKOK, 26 September 2023 – Thai AirAsia X (flight code XJ) will be operating from the new SAT-1 (Satellite 1) Building of the Suvarnabhumi Airport, effective from 28 September 2023. 

The first XJ flight to depart from the new satellite building will be  XJ 702 Bangkok (BKK)-Seoul-(ICN), scheduled for 4.00 pm on  28 September 2023.

  • Departing Thai AirAsia X guests from Suvarnabhumi Airport will continue to check-in and clear immigration at the Main Terminal before connecting by the APM shuttle train (available every 3 minutes) to SAT-1, before proceeding togates S101-S128 for their respective flights.

  • Arriving Thai AirAsia X guests  at Suvarnabhumi Airport will also disembark at SAT-1 and connect by the APM shuttle train to the Main Terminal for immigration clearance, baggage collection and transfers.

  • This operational change applies to Thai AirAsia X (XJ) routes between Bangkok and South Korea (Seoul), Japan (Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo) and China (Shanghai) only*

Guests will receive  further information and detailed procedures regarding the new SAT-1 building via SMS or registered email. All guests are recommended to self check-in via the airasia Superapp to ensure a smooth and seamless travel with Thai AirAsia X. 

*Arriving and departing flights by Thai AirAsia X between Suvarnabhumi and Sydney (Australia), Thai AirAsia (FD) flights and all other AirAsia Group flights will continue to operate from the Main Terminal of Suvarnabhumi Airport
