Prime Minister of Malaysia officiates AirAsia’s RedQ
SEPANG, 1 March 2018 – AirAsia’s corporate headquarters, RedQ, was officiated today by the Prime Minister of Malaysia,Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak. The officiating ceremony was witnessed by over 2,000 Allstars (AirAsia employees) in attendance and at the airline’s Penang, Johor, Kuching and Kota Kinabalu hubs via live telecast.
Yang Amat Berhormat Dato’ Sri Mohd Najib Bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak, Prime Minister of Malaysia was accompanied by Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai, Minister of Transport and Yang Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Abdul Rahman Dahlan, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
Key executives from AirAsia who were present at the ceremony included Datuk Kamarudin Meranun, Executive Chairman of AirAsia Berhad & Group CEO of AirAsia X; Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Group CEO of AirAsia & Co-Group CEO of AirAsia X and AirAsia Group CEOs.

AirAsia and AirAsia X employees in Malaysia officially moved into RedQ in November 2016. Designed with an industrial aesthetic, the office spans 18,000 square metres and houses more than 2,000 employees. RedQ’s facilities include a Lil Star Child Care, physiotherapy centre, Allstars clinic, a gym with personal trainer, sleeping pods, cafeteria, T&Co coffee bar, salad bar and a three-storey spiral slide.
