Reminders for guests traveling to Iloilo

AirAsia would like to remind guests bound for Iloilo (ILO) to strictly observe the latest directive from the local government of ILO on the limited capacity per flight and the designated day based on their end destinations.

Flights to ILO on Fridays shall carry only the first 75 passengers bound for the Province of Iloilo and no more than 5 passengers for the province of Guimaras, while the remaining passengers to the City of Iloilo. 

Meanwhile, flights on Wednesdays and Sundays will cater solely to passengers whose final destination is the City of Iloilo.

All guests bound for the City/Province of Iloilo and Guimaras are required to present the following documentation upon check-in: 

  1. Travel Authority (to be secured from the PNP-IATF); 

  2. Medical certificate (to be secured from the MUNICIPAL/CITY HEALTH OFFICE);

  3. Notice of Coordination (to be secured from the FROM THE RECEIVING CITY/MUNICIPALITY/PROVINCE).

Furthermore, guests are required to submit their relevant personal details to the local government through the airline before travel can be authorized. Flights to ILO will now need to be approved by relevant authorities on a case-by-case basis. 

Guests booked to travel with AirAsia to ILO, must  complete a form (to be sent via email) at least 72 hours or 3 days prior to travel to avoid being denied boarding. Guests are reminded to include complete details including contact numbers and address. 

“Only the first” passengers within the allotted limit to accomplish the form shall be allowed to board the flight. Passengers exceeding the limit will receive a separate email on the necessary steps moving forward. 

AirAsia is complying with advice and regulations from the local government and civil aviation authorities to ensure that flights proceed as scheduled. AirAsia is closely monitoring this situation and reserves the right to announce further policies according to the latest developments.

Guests can expect enhanced safety measures throughout the entire journey, including pre-flight, in-flight, and arrival processes. These include the mandatory wearing of face masks in order to be permitted to travel, amongst others. Guests are also advised to check and comply with measures implemented by local airport authorities to help ensure a smooth travel experience.
