airasia Super App pledges support for LTFRB in easing transportation problems

airasia Super App Philippines hopes to enter as a player in the e-hailing service to provide alternative transportation options to commuters.

Manila, 12 August 2022 - airasia Super App has expressed its full commitment and support to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) in facilitating and providing additional solutions to current transportation problems. 

During a recent courtesy call on the LTFRB Chairman Atty. Cheloy Velicaria-Garafil and Executive Director Atty. Robert Peig, airasia Super App Philippines Managing Director, Ray Berja introduced its upcoming ride-hailing and delivery features in the app and how it will not only benefit the commuting public but also help the authorities alleviate transportation issues in major cities. Expressing hopes for the airasia ride service to be a meaningful player in the e-hailing business in the country, Berja explained that airasia is no longer just an airline, as it has developed into an e-commerce platform that offers seamless travelling experience that lets its users book flights, hotels, itineraries and soon rides and deliveries.

Garafil welcomes the support of airasia Super App and reiterates her commitment to serve the riding public.

Ray Berja, Managing Director of airasia Super App Philippines said: “We are looking forward to serving the riding public through airasia ride, which has already clocked a whopping 1 million rides in Malaysia where it started a year ago. Our hope is to provide tangible solutions to the current transportation woes. We promise to provide fair rates to make the service more accessible to commuters and a seamless ride whenever and wherever they need it. We also want to extend the opportunity to provide stable jobs and for our driver partners to bring home more income to their families.”

airasia ride is currently available in Malaysia and Thailand and will expand to Indonesia within the year.
