Indonesia AirAsia Relocates All Domestic Flights to Terminal 2E at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport

JAKARTA, 21 October 2025 – Indonesia AirAsia announces that all domestic flights will be relocated from Terminal 1A to Terminal 2E at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK), effective 26 October 2025 (at 03:00 AM local time). This terminal relocation aims to provide greater convenience for passengers and enhance the airline’s operational efficiency. Meanwhile, all Indonesia AirAsia international flights will continue to operate from Terminal 2F with no changes.

“The relocation to Terminal 2E is intended to provide passengers with more comprehensive facilities and easier access, particularly for those connecting to international flights via Terminal 2F and for arriving international passengers continuing on domestic flights. Indonesia AirAsia will implement a number of supporting measures to ensure a smooth and well-organized transition,” said Captain Achmad Sadikin Abdurachman, Acting President Director of Indonesia AirAsia, in Jakarta (21 October).

Captain Sadikin added that Indonesia AirAsia understands every change requires some adjustment for passengers. Therefore, Indonesia AirAsia teams will be stationed at both Terminal 1A and Terminal 2E to assist passengers in locating the new departure and arrival areas.

Throughout the transition period, staff will be actively providing guidance and information on-site to ensure passenger comfort. To assist passengers who may still head to the previous terminal, AirAsia will also provide a complimentary shuttle service operating every 15 minutes from Terminal 1A to Terminal 2E.

“This relocation is part of Indonesia AirAsia’s commitment to continuously enhance service quality and provide a better travel experience for all passengers,” concluded Captain Sadikin.

Indonesia AirAsia advises all passengers to check the latest information regarding their departure and arrival terminals via email, SMS, or the airasia MOVE app (formerly AirAsia Superapp), and to reprint their boarding passes prior to departure. Passengers are also encouraged to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their scheduled flight to allow sufficient time for manual check-in at the counters.

Further information regarding the location of Terminal 2E and available transportation options to the terminal can be accessed through the official website of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport at soekarnohatta.injourneyairports.id. Indonesia AirAsia also reminds all passengers to comply with travel requirements as set by government regulations and to always prioritize safety and security on every flight. As a reminder, each passenger is allowed to carry one cabin bag with a maximum weight of 7 kg. Items exceeding this limit are recommended to be checked in at the departure counter. For domestic flights, Indonesia AirAsia passengers are entitled to checked baggage allowance in accordance with applicable regulations.
