AirAsia empowers future generations to travel smart through interactive school visits

SEPANG, 28 January 2026 – In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year and the Year of the Horse, AirAsia continues its commitment to educating future generations through its school visit programme. This initiative introduces primary school students nationwide to the fundamentals of smart and responsible air travel, while bringing the excitement of air travel to many who may be experiencing it for the first time.

Featuring the AirAsia Buds as the programme’s interactive icons, students learn through engaging storytelling videos and hands-on activities. The programme covers essential travel knowledge of the AirAsia network, which flies to over 130 destinations across Asia, Australia, Central Asia and the Middle East including travel etiquette, safety awareness and practical tips for a smooth journey.

Yesterday’s school visit was held at SJKC Yong Peng 2, Batu Pahat where students participated in interactive activities, fostering confidence and curiosity about flying.

The programme has previously visited SJKC Chong Cheng in Penang and SJKC Yuk Chai in Klang Valley, with the next session scheduled at SJKC Taman Connaught, Klang Valley. Nearly 2,000 students from these four schools have benefited, equipping them with essential travel knowledge while instilling positive travel values.

The visit also marked  the upcoming Chinese New Year with a lion dance performance, a lou sang session and the distribution of AirAsia angpaos. Through this school visit, AirAsia aims to inspire future generations to become smart and responsible travellers while making the journey of learning about air travel enjoyable and unforgettable.
