AirAsia Philippines resumes Domestic Routes post typhoon Odette, focuses on relief operations

AirAsia Philippines has announced on December 20 that all its domestic flight routes have fully resumed with the exception of Puerto Princesa as on-ground communications continue to be a challenge in the province following the impact of Typhoon Odette. Currently, the airline is working closely with various organizations to provide assistance in the delivery of essential relief goods and services to badly affected areas, having airlifted more than 20 tons of items since December 17.

Relief items are being consolidated at the cargo house in partnership with airasia Teleport and will be flown to affected areas maximizing the cargo spaces in the commercial flight.

AirAsia Philippines cancels Manila-Cebu-Manila flights due to airport closure

Manila, 17 December 2021 - AirAsia Philippines has today canceled its Manila-Cebu-Manila flights scheduled for 17-18 December following the closure of Mactan Cebu International Airport (MCIA) which was badly devastated by typhoon Odette.

In a statement issued by GMR-Megawide Cebu Airport Corporation, operator of the MCIA, the initial closure of the airport until 1852H today 17 December will be extended until 0900H, 19 December, Sunday, to give way to immediate repairs of the damaged infrastructure and facilities.

AirAsia Philippines hits record-high bookings in 1.5 years, shares key reminders for a safe, hassle-free holiday travel

Manila, 14 December 2021 – AirAsia Philippines, the world’s best low-cost airline has recorded its best performance yet since the pandemic began in March 2020. This comes as the national government eases travel requirements and protocols to key destinations across the country.

Topping the list of AirAsia’s most preferred domestic flights within the peak Christmas travel period between December 20 to January 05 are Manila to Caticlan with 24% of total passenger booking, Manila to Tacloban with 15%, and Cebu to Manila with 14%. The recently resumed Hong Kong to Manila route, meanwhile tops the list of the airline’s current international flights.

The awarding ceremony was held at AFRC Auditorium Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command, Clark Air Base, Mabalacat City, Pampanga. AirAsia Philippines expands commercial flights, restarts Hong Kong route

AirAsia Philippines resumes on Sunday its Manila-Hong Kong route after almost two years of flight suspension due to the ongoing global health crisis.
The bi-weekly flights to Hong Kong were officially commenced on 05 December with flight Z2 1264 departing NAIA Terminal 3 at 8:35 a.m. The return flight to Manila arrived in the same terminal at 2:00 p.m. 103 passengers were aboard the plane bound for Manila from Hong Kong, all of which were Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).
