Capital A Berhad, the leading aviation and travel services group and parent company of AirAsia, today announced that it has entered into a non-binding letter of offer with AirAsia X Berhad (“AAX”) for the proposed disposal of its aviation business, namely AirAsia Berhad (AirAsia Malaysia) and AirAsia Aviation Group Limited (AirAsia subsidiaries in Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, and Cambodia). Thai AirAsia (FD) has launched a new route, flying direct from Don Mueang Airport in Bangkok to the city of Shanghai, China for the first time ever. Operated with an Airbus A320, the approximately 4-and-a-half-hour flight is set to begin service 2 February 2024 and will be available 5 times a week (every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday) with a promotional fare starting from only 3,355 THB per trip.
