AirAsia Philippines Introduces Early Check-In Ahead of the Christmas Travel Rush
18 Dec 2025, Manila, Philippines — In preparation for the busy holiday travel period, AirAsia Philippines is offering early check-in to ensure a smoother and easier journey during the Christmas travel rush.
Guests flying from NAIA Terminals 2 and 3 may now check in earlier than usual, allowing those who arrive ahead of time to complete check-in procedures before the standard two to three hour window prior to boarding. This initiative helps guests avoid long queues and supports better management of peak airport congestion.
Check-in counters at NAIA Terminals also open 24/7 to better accommodate arriving holiday travelers.
To save time at the airport, travelers are strongly encouraged to use online check-in via the AirAsia website or MOVE app before arrival. Guests with checked baggage may then proceed directly to the baggage drop counter, making their journey faster and more convenient.
Dedicated service desks at both terminals will assist with inquiries and travel concerns throughout the holiday period.
The airline has also proactively ramped up capacity as early as October to meet the seasonal surge in demand. From Manila, weekly flight frequencies have been increased across key domestic routes, including:
Caticlan - from 46 to 54
Cebu - from 47 to 56
Iloilo - from 28 to 32
Tacloban - from 24 to 26
Tagbilaran - from 21 to 24
Puerto Princesa - from 20 to 21
