AirAsia Philippines reminds Undas travelers they can check in multiple bags with no limit on quantity
23 Oct 2026, Manila — As Filipinos prepare to return to their home provinces for Undas, AirAsia Philippines reminds travelers to plan ahead and make the most of its flexible baggage options, including the ability to check in multiple bags with no limit on the number of pieces.
With guests expected to bring extra belongings for family gatherings and holiday trips, guests may choose from baggage allowances of 15kg to 60kg, provided the total weight stays within their purchased allowance and each bag does not exceed 32kg.
Guests can save up to PHP 919 by pre-booking baggage online instead of purchasing it at the airport. Additional baggage can be pre-booked up to two hours before the scheduled departure.
Meanwhile, guests may bring 1 cabin bag and 1 small bag onboard, provided the combined weight of both items does not exceed 7kg. For a smoother flight journey, we encourage guests to review our carry-on baggage guidelines. For more information, please refer to: AirAsia Flights: All you need to know about our cabin baggage policy
Check in online and allow extra time at the airport
With higher passenger volumes expected during the holiday period, guests are advised to allow ample time at the airport and anticipate longer queues at security screening, baggage drop, and immigration checkpoints.
All guests, including those traveling under group bookings, are encouraged to complete self check-in through the AirAsia MOVE app or the AirAsia website in advance. Self check-in is available from 14 days up to one hour before departure.
Check-in counters close 60 minutes before international departures and 45 minutes before domestic departures.
AirAsia encourages passengers to complete their baggage drop and proceed to their boarding gates as early as possible.
Guests may also check their flight status through www.airasia.com/flightstatus before heading to the airport.
Please take note of the following special requirements:
Guests with reduced mobility or special needs are required to check in at the airport counter.
Guests who are pregnant or traveling with existing medical conditions must bring relevant medical certificates or documents clearing them for air travel, to be presented upon check-in.
For AirAsia Philippines flights departing from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), guests are reminded that domestic departures operate from Terminal 2, while international departures operate from Terminal 1.
Caticlan, Bacolod, and Iloilo among destinations seeing stronger bookings
A week ahead of Undas, AirAsia Philippines is seeing increased bookings for domestic destinations as travelers prepare to reunite with family or use the holiday break for a vacation.
Among the destinations seeing stronger booking activity are Caticlan, Bacolod, and Iloilo. The airline is also seeing increased bookings for flights to Manila from domestic destinations such as Cagayan de Oro, reflecting travel demand in both directions during the holiday period.
AirAsia Philippines expects passenger demand and load factors to rise further in the days leading up to Undas as more travelers finalize their holiday plans.
Guests are encouraged to book early to secure their preferred travel dates and take advantage of available fares, which may increase closer to departure as demand rises.
