AirAsia Begins Flying “Macau-Krabi” Welcomes All to Krabi with a Warm Inaugural Ceremony

Krabi, 1 December 2018 - AirAsia inaugurated its Macau-Krabi route on 1 December, 2018 by holding a welcoming ceremony and passing out souvenirs to passengers at Krabi Airport with special guests Mr.Patcharawat Thamrongjiranon, Thai AirAsia Station Manager for Krabi Airport, Mr. Nithee Siprae, Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Southern Region Deirector, Mr. Apichai Aranyig, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand, Krabi Office as well as representatives of Krabi Airport and public and private organizations joining in the reception.

Mr.Patcharawat Thamrongjiranon, Thai AirAsia Station Manager for Krabi Airport, made known the route has already been well received by travelers while adding that AirAsia on 2 December, 2018 would begin flying Hong Kong-Krabi.  Both routes have already achieved a Load Factor average of about 80%, likely due to Krabi’s popularity as a leisure and travel destination among the global community and their convenience.

AirAsia will also be adding 7 direct flights a week from Krabi to the Chinese city of Chongqing starting 7 December, 2018.

“AirAsia thanks all the public and private agencies that supported these new routes and looks forward to working with them all to attract more tourists to Krabi” Mr. Patcharawat said.

AirAsia has stationed 2 aircraft at its Krabi flight hub and offers 2 domestic routes; Krabi-Bangkok (7 flights a day) and Krabi-Chiang Mai (2 flights a day), along with 4 international routes; Krabi-Singapore (7 flights a week), Krabi-Hong Kong (3 flights a week), Krabi-Macau (4 flights a week) and Krabi-Chongqing (7 flights a week).
