AirAsia flies you to the stylish coastal town of Hua Hin, Thailand

SEPANG, 28 February 2018 – AirAsia now flies you to the long awaited stylish coastal town of Hua Hin, Thailand with four times weekly direct flights starting 18 May 2018.

As a truly Asean airline, the latest route to Thailand marks AirAsia Malaysia’s (flight code AK) seventh destination to the Land of Smiles, consistent with the airline’s continuous efforts to provide the widest network in Asean and connecting the road less travelled in the region to the world.

Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial, AirAsia Malaysia said, “We are thrilled to introduce Hua Hin as the latest addition to our ever growing network. Since launching Phuket in 2003 as our first international route from Kuala Lumpur, we have flown to seven cities in the country and in 2017 alone, we carried about 1.3 million of guests from Kuala Lumpur to Thailand. Moreover, Thailand was ranked ninth among the world’s most visited countries by the United Nation’s World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) report published in 2017. Hence, we are positive that Hua Hin will be the new preferred holiday destination and hope that the new route will further contribute to the tourism growth for both cities.”

To commemorate the announcement of the new route, AirAsia is offering promotional all-in-fares from RM79* one way on airasia.com and on AirAsia’s mobile app from now to 4 March 2018 for travel period between 18 May 2018 and 26 October 2018.

AirAsia Malaysia currently operates 165 weekly flights one way to Thailand. Besides Hua Hin, the airline also flies to six other routes to Thailand such as Bangkok (80 times weekly), Phuket (35 times weekly), Krabi (21 times weekly), Hat Yai (7 times weekly), Chiang Mai (14 times weekly), and Pattaya  (4 times weekly).

Sited about 3 hours car ride from Bangkok, Hua Hin offers visitors everything from historic landmarks to modern theme attractions. The royal beach side resort town, which was once a quiet fishing village now grew into an ideal weekend gateaway with plethora of attractions as it is close to three other districts namely Cha Am, Pranburi and Sam Roi Yod. Bask in tranquility at Hua Hin beach, enjoy Asia’s first water jungle at Vana Nava Water Park, bargain at the open-air Hua Hin night market, experience a slice of life in 1950s Hua Hin at Plearn Wan Village, and don’t miss one of the oldest railway station in Thailand, the iconic Hua Hin Railway Station in Hua Hin.

Then, make your way to Cha Am which has a number of picture-perfect themed attractions such as Camel Republic, Santorini Park, The Venezia, and Swiss Sheep Farm. But if nature is your calling, visit Pranburi for a complete hideaway experience, explore the scenic Pala U waterfall - one of the highest waterfalls in Thailand located about 60km west of Hua Hin and Sam Roi Yod National Park; the first marine national park of Thailand with about seven spectacular attraction points such as Khao Daeng Canal, Phraya Nakhon Cave, Thung Sam Roi Yot Freshwater Marsh and others.
