Travel Advisory: Kochi flights on 24-31 August 2018

SEPANG, 24 August 2018 - AirAsia is extending the cancellation of all Kochi, India flights to 28 August 2018 due to the continued closure of Cochin International Airport.

On 29 August 2018, AirAsia Malaysia (carrier code AK) and AirAsia Thailand (FD) will resume scheduled flights to/from Kochi with the expected reopening of the airport, while AirAsia India (I5) will operate partial revised services.

From now through to 31 August 2018, AirAsia India will also operate rescue flights between Bengaluru International Airport (BLR) and Trivandrum International Airport (TRV) in place of some of its scheduled Bengaluru-Kochi services.

AirAsia India schedule services will return to normal with full Bengaluru-Kochi-Bengaluru operations from 1 Sep 2018.

Guests with bookings to travel to/from Kochi from now until 31 August 2018 may choose one of the following service recovery options:

  1. Move flight: One-time flight change to a new travel date on the same route within 30 calendar days from original flight time without additional cost, subject to seat availability; OR

  2. Reroute: One-time reroute to Bengaluru (BLR) or Chennai (MAA) or Tiruchirappalli (TRZ) or Hyderabad (HYD) or Visakhapatnam (VTZ) or Jaipur (JAI) within 30 calendar days of the original travel date without additional cost, subject to route and seat availability; OR

  3. Credit account: Retain the value of your fare in your AirAsia BIG Loyalty account for future travel with AirAsia. The online credit account is to be redeemed for booking within 90 calendar days from the date of issue and can be issued to AirAsia BIG Members only; OR

  4. Full refund: Obtain a full refund to your original payment method for the amount equivalent to your booking.

  2. Select Enquiry / Request under Type of Feedback

  3. Select Booking under Sub Category 1

  4. Select Kochi Airport Closure for Sub Category 2

  5. Type in your option under Subject: “Kochi Credit Account”

  6. Complete the remaining form fields and click Submit to proceed
