AirAsia India ramps up its operations in Mumbai, adds a new connection to Kolkata

Bengaluru, March 15, 2019: India’s low cost carrier, AirAsia India today announced its network expansion plans by adding a second destination from Mumbai. AirAsia India will now fly connecting Kolkata and Mumbai, with one daily flight.

The launch fare for flight connecting Kolkata and Mumbai is INR 2999. Bookings for the new route are open for sale as of 9.30am IST, 15 March 2019. Flights to the new route will commence on 15 April 2019. The airline recently introduced 8 additional flights to its network and the addition of a new destination from Mumbai is a testimony to their promise, ‘Now Everyone Can Fly’.

Speaking about the development, Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, MD & CEO, AirAsia India, said “We recently introduced the first connection between Bengaluru and Mumbai and are proud to launch this new connection between Mumbai and Kolkata. Kolkata is a key market for AirAsia and this flight will strengthen our operations in East. This new route is a manifestation of our future growth plan in these key and important business markets.”
