BANGKOK, 10 August 2020 - AirAsia has added Suvarnabhumi Airport as another hub in Thailand, becoming the only airline in Thailand to fly from both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports.

The move, aimed at offering more convenience to its guests, is being introduced with four direct domestic routes, Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai (5 daily flights), Phuket (3 daily flights), Krabi (2 daily flights) and Surat Thani (2 daily flights).

AirAsia Thailand Chief Executive Santisuk Klongchaiya said: "We are thrilled to be flying to another airport, offering greater convenience to our guests, while expanding our domestic network in Thailand. AirAsia continues to seek out new business opportunities within present circumstances to maintain our leadership in the market and help with the revival of our economy.

"Suvarnabhumi Airport is an excellent aviation hub with easy access to the city centre and high potential for international connecting flights in the future. This should pave the way for new travel groups and enable us to better utilise our planes. For guests, the airport provides yet another way to fly low fares with AirAsia," Mr. Santisuk added.
