KUALA LUMPUR, 28 September 2021 - IKHLAS, airasia digital’s Muslim-friendly line of business today announced the launch of its “Baik Pulih” campaign via the Sadaqah service platform which aims to help rebuild and digitalise affected communities, providing a safe and secure platform for various organisations to run their donation drive for deserving causes and directly connect with those who wish to help.

Various organisations such as non-governmental organisations (NGOs), charity homes, associations, houses of worship and schools nationwide can now run their respective donation drives conveniently and affordably, by listing their initiatives on the IKHLAS Sadaqah service platform, which is available from today. The platform is also open to facilitate campaigns to aid emergency relief, charity, humanitarian efforts, education, health and other intentions to help those in need.

The IKHLAS Sadaqah service platform currently has over 70 active donation campaigns from NGOs, charity homes, schools, mosques and many more. Among the organisations currently fundraising are Malaysian Humanitarian Aid and Relief (MAHAR) Kuala Lumpur for refugee aid, Charity organisation Villa Harapan Melaka for people in need and people with disabilities, Maahad Tahfiz Imam Syafie (MATIS) for school aid and School Bus Association in Selangor, Putrajaya & Kuala Lumpur for financial support for bus operators,  among others.

Interested parties can register here and each application will go through a stringent review to ensure they meet the criteria. The onboarding process will take approximately 7 days.

Ikhlas Kamarudin, Head of IKHLAS said, “We have been working hand-in-hand with many NGOs, charity homes, mosques and others. Throughout our journey, we realised that many are depending on their family, friends or the generosity of those who have been able to provide support. This is particularly prevalent in these challenging times caused by the pandemic. Now with the Sadaqah service platform, IKHLAS is allowing them to independently power up their fundraising efforts, in addition to connecting those who need a helping hand with those who can give back and possibly offer their support in a seamless and secured manner.

“The Sadaqah platform was designed to provide an easily accessible and secure way for organisations to raise funds and awareness for their worthy cause, by connecting them with millions of airasia Super App users who may want to offer their support. Fundraising campaigns can be created in just a few simple steps from the platform and donations will be credited in full into the organiser's account based on their preferred payment method. We hope this will help more people in need, especially for organisations that do not have ready access to online platforms. Let’s all help each other and donate to any campaign of your choice on ikhlas.com/sadaqah, our IKHLAS mobile app or the airasia Super App.”

Since its inception last year, the IKHLAS Sadaqah service has collected and disbursed over RM3.7 million in donations, benefiting over 34,000 families. The online public donation initiative has also supported numerous affected communities under its special relief campaigns such as IKHLAS for Sabah, IKHLAS for Palestine and nationwide distribution drives every Friday.
