Australia, 14 August 2023 - AirAsia X Celebrates its inaugural partnership with Sydney’s City2Surf, the ‘world’s largest fun run,’ which took place yesterday from the city to Bondi Beach, with great value fares on sale to/from Australia and New Zealand for everyone to get a flying start to their next holiday.
At the event, AirAsia X provided fun and entertainment, with cabin crew dancing on stage and a prize wheel for the 80,0000 participants to ‘spin to win’ great prizes including AirAsia branded merchandise and the chance to go in the draw to take home two return trips for two from Sydney to Kuala Lumpur or to Auckland, New Zealand.
Rajiv Kumar from Ashfield Sydney, was one of the flight winners and said not only did he run a great time in the City2Surf but that the prize from AirAsia X truly made his day. “I have been planning to return to Delhi in India for some time to see my family and when I saw the AirAsia X booth I thought I’ll give it a go - you never know. What a surprise to win ! Now I can fast track my plans to finally take my wife to visit friends and family direct to Kuala Lumpur and through to Delhi India soon.”
Brian Whelehan from Ireland and now living in Sydney was also overwhelmed with the win. “To be honest I’ve never won anything, not even a lottery ticket so this is more than incredible. Now we are in this part of the world, I can't wait to visit Auckland for the first time with my partner - thank you AirAsia X!”
AirAsia X CEO Benyamin Ismail, said the City2Surf is a fantastic event and he was thrilled to be part of the action.
“We are proud to be part of the biggest fun run in the world which saw an incredible 80,000 entrants this year. We were also glad to play an important role by making it affordable for more international entrants to attend this year - not only from Malaysia, but across Asia. We congratulate all winners - from the elite to every participant. Now we wish to ensure that everyone has a chance to get a flying start for their next overseas trip, with a special Australia/New Zealand sale starting today with incredible deals across the Tasman and from Australia to Kuala Lumpur - including our Premium Flatbeds which are very popular down under.”
