AIRASIA SERVES UP NORTHERN THAI FLAVOURS IN THE SKY “Lamtæ Lām-wā… Farewell the Year in Style” Authentic Khăn Tôk set, Chicken Khao Soi with Phulae Pineapple, and More — Supporting Thai Farmers
Bangkok, 30 September 2025 — As the year-end travel season takes off, Thai AirAsia is once again bringing local taste onboard with a fresh Northern Thai menu made from Phulae pineapple — championing Thai farmers while delighting guests at 30,000 feet. From 1 October to 31 December 2025, guests on all Thai AirAsia (FD) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ) flights can savour a specially curated Northern Thai menu, including Khăn Tôk Muang Set — a traditional tray of Northern goodies such as chicken sausage (kai soua), fried Northern sausage (kai yor), fresh vegetables, and nam prik num (Northern green chili dip), with sticky rice on the side. Chicken Khao Soi with Phulae Pineapple — rich Northern coconut curry served with soft chicken, noodles, and the sweet-tangy crunch of Phulae pineapple. Phulae Pineapple Cheesecake — silky smooth cheesecake meets the aromatic tropical zest of Phulae pineapple, and Pineapple with Chili-Salt Drink — juicy pineapple blended with mild fresh chili and salt for a refreshingly unique twist.
Ms. Ornanong Methapipattanakul, Director of inflight products and services for Thai AirAsia said: “After last quarter’s southern-style fiery flavours, this year-end we’re turning up the charm with the tastes of the North. We’ve worked closely with the Department of Internal Trade and Thai farmers to elevate Phulae pineapple—an iconic Chiang Rai ingredient—into dishes that evoke pride, flavour, and originality, all above the clouds.”
This initiative continues AirAsia’s collaboration to support local agriculture. Last month, the agricultural supply project using fruits in onboard meals, in partnership with the Department of Internal Trade, won the Creative Excellence Awards 2025 from the Creative Economy Agency. Riding on that momentum, the airline has crafted these new Northern Thai creations to both satisfy guest’s palates and highlight regional identity.
The new menu is available on all Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X flights (flight codes FD & XJ) from 1 October through 31 December 2025.
