ikhlas.com, PPZ-MAIWP urge corporate sector to implement ‘Blessings Audit’ for the sustainability of the ummah’s economy

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 December 2025 - Ikhlas Com Travel & Umrah Sdn Bhd (ikhlas.com) and Pusat Pungutan Zakat Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (PPZ-MAIWP) organise a forum to emphasise the importance of barakah (divine blessings) in Islamic wealth management and business practices as a foundation for the sustainability of the ummah economy.

The forum, titled Barakah Audit: Zakat with Integrity for a Successful Business, featured corporate figure Dato’ Mohammed Hussein and prominent preacher Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin Abu Bakar Al Hamid, who discussed governance challenges and solutions rooted in Shariah values in the management of large-scale companies.

Chief Executive Officer of ikhlas.com, Ikhlas Kamarudin said: “This forum aims to raise awareness among corporate leaders and organisational managers that zakat, trust and blessings must be embedded within a company’s governance framework. We believe that a values-based Islamic approach can shape businesses that are more sustainable and deliver greater social impact.”

Mohammed Hussein said: “The greatest challenge for a Muslim in the corporate world is ensuring that every business decision is not only operationally efficient, but also just, trustworthy and aligned with shariah principles. Blessings are not an obstacle to profit; rather, they make businesses more sustainable and trustworthy.”

Habib Ali Zaenal Abidin said: “Blessed wealth is wealth that is halal in its source, well managed, and provides lasting benefits. Wealth can become a path to paradise when it is utilised for the benefit of the ummah.”

He also reminded business owners and managers to always uphold justice in leading their staff, as every individual under their care is a trust from Allah. Justice and ihsan in leadership form the core foundation of blessings within an organisation.
