AirAsia Allstars Receive Second COVID-19 Vaccine Dose Ready to Serve Recovering Travel Industry
BANGKOK, 14 June 2021 - As COVID-19 vaccinations continue to roll out extensively across the nation, Thai AirAsia and Thai AirAsia X staff have begun to receive their second vaccine doses today at the Royal Paragon Hall inSiam Paragon to complete their vaccination cycle.
AirAsia Allstars are now ready to confidently serve air travelers set to return, including under the keenly-awaited Phuket Sandbox policy that is set to kick off next month.
AirAsia Thailand Chief Executive Officer, Santisuk Klongchaiya said: “AirAsia is committed to standing ready to serve our guests, including providing them confidence in their health and safety, which is why we are making sure our Allstars receive their COVID-19 vaccinations.”
AirAsia Allstars began receiving their first vaccine doses under the Airlines Association of Thailand (AAT) quota on 24 May and from mid-June 2021 have been receiving their second doses in line with the domestic travel recovery plan, well in time to prepare for the anticipated spike in travel demand from July onwards.
“With the Phuket Sandbox policy poised to allow COVID-19 vaccinated foreign travelers to enter the country under safety protocols from July, there have been positive signs for tourism business operators, including airlines, which is why we are making sure we are ready, especially among our frontline staff, to safely serve and provide direct service to our passengers. For the reassurance of our passengers, we expect all staff in our Bangkok hubs to have completed their vaccination within June with those in other provinces following suit,” Mr. Santisuk said.
The safety and wellbeing of our guests and staff is always our highest priority. AirAsia is proud to have recently earned a perfect 7-star rating from Airlineratings.com for going above and beyond with new products and innovations to protect guests against any risk from COVID-19.
