On top of that, in conjunction with AirAsia BIG’s 816 BIG World campaign, BIG Members will enjoy an additional 50% bonus BIG Points until 16 September 2019 when they convert a minimum of 1,000 BIG Points.
AirAsia BIG CEO Spencer Lee said, “AirAsia BIG marks a major milestone today with its first two-way points conversion, together with partner PETRONAS Mesra. Convertibility is key to extending the use of BIG Points outside the AirAsia ecosystem. By ensuring the conversion can be done both ways, we are one step closer to realising our vision of making BIG Points a digital currency for everyone.”
PETRONAS Mesra is PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad’s loyalty programme that offers its customers instant point redemption for any purchase made on fuel or items sold at its convenience stores, Kedai Mesra. Points accumulated can be used to redeem fuel and items from Kedai Mesra as well as other lifestyle choices, providing great savings to customers as they spend. Currently, Mesra Members enjoy three Mesra Points for purchase of every litre of fuel, the highest value being offered in the fuel retail market.
PETRONAS Dagangan Berhad MD/CEO Dato’ Sri Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohd Tahir commented, “We are pleased to be the first fuel retail company to offer two-way points conversion via the AirAsia BIG app. This is in line with our effort to expand our loyalty programme offerings and to provide our customers a seamless and frictionless experience. With this partnership, our Mesra members can now conveniently manage their points digitally and enjoy the many travel and lifestyle deals offered by AirAsia.”
