AirAsia Brings Zaab to the Sky as it Elevates In-Flight Dining with Authentic Esan Cuisine
BANGKOK, 10 April 2025 - AirAsia is going “Zaab” this April, as it announces the introduction of three authentic Esan dishes to its Santan in-flight menu, available from April through June 2025. This limited-time offering brings the bold, spicy flavors of Thailand's northeastern region to guests aboard Thai AirAsia (FD) and Thai AirAsia X (XJ) flights.
The new menu features traditional Esan specialties including Palm Sugar Grilled Chicken served with somtam and sticky rice, Spicy Chicken Sausage Salad with a signature dressing, and Esan Chicken Sausage made with fermented minced chicken. Each dish has been carefully developed to maintain authentic flavors at cruising altitude.
Ms. Ornanong Methapipattanakul, Director of in-flight products and services for Thai AirAsia, explained that “Zaab” is a distinct style of tangy and spicy well loved by the Thai people and visitors alike.

The Palm Sugar Grilled Chicken will be available on all Thai AirAsia routes, while the sausage dishes will be offered on domestic flights. Thai AirAsia X will serve all three options across its network. Guests may pre-order meals beginning 15 April 2025 through the AirAsia MOVE app or official website airasia.com when making flight reservations.
