BANGKOK, 24 March 2025 - In its efforts to provide greater convenience to air travelers, AirAsia Thailand (flight code FD) will be further enhancing its services out of Suvarnabhumi Airport, in addition to its existing operations at its main hub, Don Muang Airport.
From 1 July 2025, the airline is set to introduce three new routes from its Suvarnabhumi station, flying direct three times weekly to Buriram and daily flights to Surat Thani and Narathiwat respectively. These new services bring its total routes from Suvarnabhumi Airport to nine.
Exclusively available on AirAsia MOVE and airasia.com, promotional fares starting from only 880 THB are up for grabs now until 24 April 2025 for the travel period of 1 July - 25 October 2025.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, said: “AirAsia is accelerating its expansion domestically in Thailand this year, with Suvarnabhumi central to the strategy due to its domestic growth potential and ability to accommodate international arrivals looking to continue onward to other regions of the country. The move reinforces AirAsia’s commitment to convenience, offering passengers the most extensive domestic network in the country — now spanning 37 routes — with flights operating from both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports.
“Our goal is to connect every corner of Thailand — from the north to the northeast and south — through Suvarnabhumi, making travel easier for our guests. With a 40 percent share of Thailand’s domestic market in 2024, we’re poised to reach even more travelers in 2025 with added routes and frequencies,” he added.
AirAsia currently serves nine routes from Suvarnabhumi, including high-frequency flights to Chiang Mai (8x daily), Phuket (6x daily), Krabi (3x daily), Hat Yai, Udon Thani, Khon Kaen (2x daily), and from July, Surat Thani, Narathiwat (1x daily) and Buriram (3x weekly).
With this expansion, AirAsia solidifies its role as Thailand’s leading domestic carrier, bridging communities and supporting tourism growth nationwide.
Beyond its extensive network, AirAsia delivers top-tier operational excellence, being the only Thai airline to be ranked among the Top 5 for on-time performance in Asia Pacific by Cirium. AirAsia has also been named the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for 15 years running, and rated for high safety standards by AirlineRatings.com.
