AirAsia flights impacted by Typhoon Champi

SEPANG, 23 October 2026 - Typhoon Champi is expected to impact AirAsia Group flight operations to and from Taipei (TPE) and Kaohsiung (KHH) between 23 October 2026 and 24 October 2026.

AirAsia has notified affected guests of their flight status and available service recovery options using the contact details provided in their bookings. As the weather situation remains fluid, guests travelling to or from the affected destinations on these dates are advised to stay updated via the AirAsia MOVE app (airasia.com/flightstatus), the AskBo chatbot and their registered email for the latest information.

In the light of the weather event, AirAsia has provided service recovery options for all affected guests:

  • Full Refund: To be issued to the original form of payment; OR

  • Credit Account: Valid for 730 days from the date of issuance to your AirAsia member account; OR

  • Move Flight: One-time free date change within 30 days of your original departure (for flight code AK, FD and Z2), and within 90 days of your original departure (for flight code D7) on the same route within the AirAsia network, at no extra charge and subject to seat availability.
