AirAsia flights impacted by Typhoon Ragasa

SEPANG, 22 Sep 2025 - Typhoon Ragasa is expected to impact flight operations at several major airports in the Greater Bay Area. As a result, AirAsia flights operated by AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK), Thai AirAsia (flight code FD) and AirAsia Philippines (Z2) to and from Shenzhen, Hong Kong and Macao may be affected from 23 September 2025 to 24 September 2025.

AirAsia has directly notified all affected guests via email and SMS on their flight status and service recovery options. As the weather situation remains fluid, guests travelling to or from the affected destinations on 23 and 24 September 2025 are advised to stay updated via the AirAsia MOVE app (airasia.com/flightstatus), the AskBo chatbot and their registered email for the latest information. 

In the light of the weather event, AirAsia has provided service recovery options for all affected guests:

  1. Move Flight: One-time free date change within 30 days of your original departure, on the same route within the AirAsia network, at no extra charge and subject to seat availability; OR

  2. Credit Account: Valid for 730 days from the date of issuance to your AirAsia member account; OR

  3. Full Refund: To be issued to the original form of payment.
