AirAsia Launching “Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur” 2 Times a Week Starting 20 June from Only 1,790 THB!
BANGKOK, 26 May, 2022 - AirAsia Thailand (FD) is launching its first international route from Suvarnabhumi Airport, becoming the only low cost carrier to fly Suvarnabhumi (BKK) – Kuala Lumpur (KUL), Malaysia. The route will be available two times daily and is being introduced at a promotional fare for members starting from only 1,790 THB per trip. Book promotional seats this 26 – 31 May 2022 for travel between 20 June and 29 October 2022 using the airasia Super App.
Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, Chief Executive Officer of AirAsia Thailand, pointed out that AirAsia’s flight base at Suvarnabhumi Airport has been very well received. At present, the carrier operates three domestic routes from Suvarnabhumi, flying to Chiang Mai, Phuket and Krabi, and from June onward will be operating our first international route with Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur. The flight will take travelers to Malaysia’s capital and economic center, a city rich in commerce and tourism, while expanding options for those coming from Kuala Lumpur to land at either Don Mueang Airport ( three times daily) or Suvarnabhumi Airport two times daily. From Kuala Lumpur, travellers can further connect to various destinations in Malaysia as well as across Asean.
“Our first international route being served from Suvarnabhumi Airport is a positive and exciting development, especially as it’s the popular Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur route. On top of Suvarnabhumi Airport being a major transit hub with a variety of further options for flights, arrivals from Kuala Lumpur will also have AirAsia’s extensive network of low fare domestic routes to continue on with. Thailand is welcoming fully vaccinated visitors and no longer requires COVID-19 testing or quarantine, so we are confident this new route will be very well received” Mr. Santisuk said.
Apart from the newly introduced Suvarnabhumi-Kuala Lumpur service, AirAsia also operates daily return flights between Bangkok Don Mueang and Kuala Lumpur. Bookings and promotions for both routes can be found on airasia Super App.
Fully vaccinated travelers between Thailand and Malaysia are no longer required to present a COVID-19 test result or undergo quarantine on arrival. Travellers entering Malaysia just need to download the MySejahtera app and fill up details under the Travellers icon. Thailand is abolishing the Thailand Pass requirement for Thai Nationals to enter the country from 1 June 2022.
