BANGKOK, 4 March 2025 – AirAsia has teamed up with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to inspire travelers to explore 16 stunning cities across the country. With the most extensive route network connecting Thailand’s most engaging destinations, AirAsia is the ideal choice for discovering the diverse locations featured in this campaign. To better connect with younger travelers, each destination is paired with a distinct musical genre, adding a creative twist to the travel experience.

Flights are available at promotional prices starting from just 880 THB per one way trip. Book your journey between 3–9 March 2025 for travel from 10 March to 30 September 2025. This exciting offer is part of a series of promotions and discounts on routes running from March through May.

The 16 destinations span all four regions of Thailand. In the north, travelers can explore Chiang Rai, Phitsanulok, Nan and Lampang. The northeastern region (Isan) offers seven vibrant destinations: Loei, Udon Thani, Ubon Ratchathani, Buriram, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, and Roi Et. In the south, AirAsia connects passengers to Nakhon Si Thammarat, Trang, Chumphon, Ranong, and Narathiwat. Notably, Udon Thani is accessible via both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports.

Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), TAT aims to promote domestic tourism through a strategy that links major cities to attractive tourist destinations in order to distribute tourists across various regions and ensure an even spread of income throughout all areas. TAT has therefore partnered with Thailand AirAsia, as part of the "360-degree Partnership," through the campaign "Happiness Starts in Great Destinations," offering special-priced flight tickets for routes from Don Mueang Airport to various attractive tourist destinations across the country. This initiative is designed to encourage travel and provide valuable experiences that bring joy and create Grand Moments as part of the "Amazing Thailand Grand Tourism and Sports Year 2025."

TAT expects that this collaboration will play a key role in promoting sustainable growth in tourist destinations, stimulating tourist spending, and contributing to the equitable distribution of income to local communities.

Mr. Santisuk Klongchaiya, CEO of Thai AirAsia, highlighted how AirAsia’s extensive network aligns perfectly with TAT’s campaign, particularly for the 16 featured cities.

“AirAsia is committed to supporting domestic travel, especially to these unique destinations. While they may not be major tourist hubs, these cities offer distinctive charms that appeal to a new generation of travelers seeking experiences that resonate with their lifestyles,” Mr. Santisuk said.

To further engage travelers, AirAsia has incorporated music into the campaign, with each genre representing a different travel experience. Hip Hop symbolizes adventure and excitement, Pop reflects a laid-back vibe ideal for food exploration and content creation, and Rock represents cultural immersion and discovery.
