AirAsia’s Red Hot Sinulog Sizzles with Party, Fireworks and Dazzling Performances

CEBU, 20 January 2019 – AirAsia is painting Cebu skies red. The World’s Best Low Cost Carrier for ten years running hosted one of this year’s grandest Sinulog events. Red Hot Sinulog was held in Cebu Business Park with over 12,000 spectators and featured celebrity singers KZ Tandingan, Maja Salvador, and Autotelic.

AirAsia Philippines CEO Captain Dexter Comendador said, “Filipinos and travelers from all over the world came here in Cebu to witness a powerful expression of your faith and unique celebration of our Filipino culture.”

AirAsia offers several flights to and from Cebu from Manila, Clark, Palawan, Boracay, Davao, and Cagayan De Oro, with international flights to Korea, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Taiwan and Shenzhen in China. The airline is also set to launch new flights from Cebu to Macau starting 8 February 2019.

AirAsia cabin crew from the Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, and Malaysia wowed the crowd with a dance performance in their red uniform as they were later joined in the stage by AirAsia Philippines executives led by the airline’s chairperson Maan Hontiveros, CEO Captain Dexter Comendador and commercial head Gilbert Simpao.

Cebu skies turned red as the Red Hot Sinulog party ended with fireworks display that showcased the dazzling colors of Cebu’s cultural and religious influences and AirAsia’s iconic red logo.
