AirAsia rolls out FastPass service to give guests a more convenient, seamless travel experience Privileges include priority check-in, assistance at passport control and more

BANGKOK, 16 Oct 2024 - AirAsia guests may now experience a completely hassle-free travel experience as the airline rolls out its “FastPass” service in Thailand.

FastPass privileges include Priority Check-in, Xtra Carry-On baggage up to 14 kg, assistance service at passport control as well as Priority Boarding.

AirAsia guests can now enjoy a more convenient and seamless journey with FastPass, starting from just 350 Baht/flight for domestic flights. For international flights, prices start at 500 baht/flight excluding passport control assistance, while for international flights from Don Mueang, Phuket, and Chiang Mai airports, FastPass starts at 990 Baht/flight including passport control assistance. It can be bought at airasia.com or on the AirAsia MOVE app.  The FastPass is available during initial booking or as an add-on through ‘Manage my booking’ up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled flight departure. The service is only available for AirAsia flights.

Introducing the new experience, AirAsia today hosted departing and arriving guests on  international flights with the Assistance Service at Passport Control operated by Coral Executive Thailand at Don Mueang, Phuket and Chiang Mai airports.

Ms. Tansita Akrarittipirom, Head of Commercial Thai AirAsia, said: “The beauty of traveling with AirAsia is that we allow everyone to design their journey in their own style, selecting only the services they need without paying for what they don't need. FastPass is an additional service designed to meet the needs of travelers who want speed and convenience, allowing for faster boarding at the airport.”

A key feature of the Fast Pass in Thailand is the special assistance at Passport Control, a service provided in collaboration with Coral Executive Thailand. This enables guests to go through immigration faster and get to their flights quicker. The service also enhances the travel experience from the start with priority check-in, 14 kg extra carry-on baggage allowance, and priority boarding.

FastPass is a special add-on service especially for AirAsia guests on international routes, similar to those purchasing the Xtra Carry-On service, which allows for 14 kg of carry-on baggage. The Xtra Carry-On service is continuously gaining popularity amongst cross border travelers with over five  percent of guests  on international routes of between two and exceeding four hours opting for the service. This is a strong indication that many international travelers value additional services and amenities that enhance their journey.

Currently, AirAsia offers FastPass for travel to and from Malaysia, India and Thailand, providing assistance at Passport Control on top of other speed-related benefits that are also available in other countries. AirAsia guests can purchase the FastPass add-on in advance up to at least 24 hours before their flight departure to ensure a smoother travel experience.
