PETALING JAYA, 2 AUG 2019 - In the category of Logistics & Transportation, AirAsia has been awarded the Malaysian Society of Occupational Safety and Health Gold Class 1 Award.

Graced by Malaysia’s Deputy Minister of Human Resources, YB Dato’ Hj Mahfuz Omar, the award recognises AirAsia’s commitment to Occupational Safety and Health performance and safety and health management process improvements.

Accepting the award, AirAsia Group Head of Safety Captain Ling Liong Tien said, “AirAsia is proud to be recognised as an organisation that prioritises safety. This award illustrates the dedicated commitment of our Allstars and ground team, who work tirelessly to uphold our occupational safety and health standards. It is their dedication to safety and health that makes this award possible.

The award is organised annually by the Malaysian Society of Occupational Safety and Health (MSOSH) and includes a stringent audit process by representatives from the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH), Social Security Organisation (SOCSO), National Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), SIRIM Berhad, Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), MSOSH, multinational corporations and private companies.
