AirAsia X Berhad (D7) retains globally recognised IOSA certification
SEPANG, 21 May 2026 - AirAsia X Berhad (airline code D7), the medium- to long-haul affiliate airline under AirAsia X/AirAsia Group*, has successfully maintained its International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, with its IOSA Registry validity extended until 16 January 2028.
First accredited under the IOSA programme in 2013, AirAsia X Berhad has consistently demonstrated its commitment to maintaining the highest international safety and operational standards across all areas of its operations.

The IOSA programme is an internationally recognised and accepted evaluation system designed to assess an airline’s operational management and control systems. It is widely regarded within the aviation industry as the global benchmark for airline operational safety.
Conducted on a biennial basis, the IOSA audit covers eight key operational disciplines: organisation and management systems, flight operations, operational control and flight dispatch, aircraft engineering and maintenance, cabin operations, ground handling operations, cargo operations, and security management.
The renewal of the IOSA Registry demonstrates the Group’s adherence to stringent international operational and safety requirements, while reinforcing the airline’s commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
*The name change from AirAsia X to AirAsia Group Berhad is subject to shareholder approval at the company's 19th Annual General Meeting and registration by the Companies Commission of Malaysia (CCM).
