AirAsia X Berhad welcomes Tan Sri (Dr.) Jamaludin bin Ibrahim as Independent Non-Executive Chairman, marking new era following aviation group consolidation
SEPANG, 9 March 2026 – AirAsia X Berhad (“AirAsia X”) announced the redesignation of Tan Sri (Dr.) Jamaludin bin Ibrahim (“Tan Sri Jamaludin”) as Independent Non-Executive Chairman, effective immediately. This marks an important new chapter for the airline, as it emerges from the successful consolidation of all AirAsia-branded airlines into an enlarged aviation group (“Group”), entering a period of renewed focus and growth. With the Group now a more cohesive and integrated entity, the Board of Directors (“Board”) will play a central role in aligning strategy, governance and execution to realise the full potential of the Group.
