Travel Advisory: Indonesia AirAsia Offers Flexibility Options for Guests Flying to and from Bali during the G20 Summit Restrictions Period

BALI, 10 November 2022 - Indonesia AirAsia (flight code QZ) is committed to continue providing flight services for selected routes and schedules, especially for the G20 Summit attendees and participants and for others who travel for essential purposes from and to Bali during the G20 Summit period.

This is following the government’s recent advisory regarding limitations on community activities and road traffic management in Bali, as well as operational restrictions of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport for regular scheduled flights throughout the G20 Summit period from 13 to 17 November 2022.

During this period Indonesia AirAsia will provide flexibility options for guests who wish to re-adjust their departure to and from Bali by changing their flight schedule to another date within 30 days from the initial departure date, or converting the value of the purchase to a credit account on AirAsia which can be used for future ticket purchases with a validity period of two years. This flexibility offer is applicable for Indonesia AirAsia flights (flight code QZ) to and from Bali on 13-17 November 2022.

On the other hand, following the directives of the aviation authorities, Indonesia AirAsia will also be limiting the number of flights to and from Bali during the G20 Summit. The following is a list of Indonesia AirAsia flights to and from Bali that will continue to operate during the period of 13-17 November 2022:

Indonesia AirAsia flights (flight code QZ) for domestic and international routes from and to Bali within the period of 13-17 November 2022 that are not listed in the table above will either be transferred to another available AirAsia flight or canceled. This will only affect flights by Indonesia AirAsia, while flight to and from Bali operated by AirAsia Thailand (flight code FD), AirAsia Philippine (flight code Z2) and AirAsia Malaysia (flight code AK) will continue as scheduled.

Passengers whose flights are affected will receive a notification via SMS or email registered at the time of ticket purchase and are entitled for a service recovery option of either a Schedule Change, Credit Account, or Refund.

To get the service recovery options, guests who make their purchases via the AirAsia website or Super App may access the link in the email sent by AirAsia. For guests who make purchases through conventional or online travel agents (OTA), please contact the relevant travel agents.

Guests who will continue to fly to and from Bali during this period are strongly advised to plan flexible travel times to anticipate potential flight time adjustments in connection with operational restrictions that may occur at any time according to the direction of the aviation authority.

In addition, guests departing from Bali are advised to plan to arrive at the airport much earlier, at least 3 hours before departure time, to anticipate road access restrictions from and to the airport in Bali which may occur at any time to accommodate the movement of the head of states.

Guests are also advised to check-in online via the airasia Super App before going to the airport and utilize the check-in kiosk to reprint their boarding pass. Check-in counter service is available from 3 hours before scheduled departure.

AirAsia urges all guests to ensure that they meet the travel requirements according to the latest conditions set by the destination of their flight. For more information regarding domestic and international travel requirements to and from Indonesia, please visit this page.
