AirAsia wins Gold at Putra Brand Awards 2018 for the ninth year in a row
KUALA LUMPUR, 27 October 2018 - AirAsia has been awarded Gold under the Transport, Travel & Tourism category for the ninth year in a row at the Putra Brand Awards 2018.
The award was accepted by AirAsia cabin crew, the airline’s iconic brand ambassadors, at the awards ceremony held at Majestic Hotel in Kuala Lumpur last night.
Endorsed by the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the prestigious Putra Brand Awards measures brands based on consumer preference across various categories.
AirAsia Group Head of Branding Rudy Khaw said, “We are humbled to be chosen by the people for the ninth consecutive year. We firmly believe low-cost does not mean low quality and this award is proof that less can be more when our brand values resonate with the aspirations of our guests.”
Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia (4As) in association with the Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands (MMVB), the Putra Brand Awards is Malaysia’s premier brand award.
Utilising a robust consumer research methodology, 6,000 consumers determined Malaysia’s favourite brands within multiple categories, with the top three preferred brands in each category being awarded Gold, Silver or Bronze.
