AirAsia To Launch New Route From KL - Tokyo Narita

• Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo - Narita services commence from 20 November*

• Promotional AirAsia BIG members-only fares from RM199** one-way 

SEPANG, 20 August 2019 - AirAsia X Malaysia CEO Benyamin Ismail today announced a new direct air service between Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo - Narita on his Instagram account (@BenyaminIsmail). 

Benyamin said, “Our guests can now fly from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo, Japan, either through Narita Airport or Haneda Airport, giving them more flexibility on flight times and connectivity.”

“These new services are in response to overwhelming consumer demand and ahead of what will be a big year for Tokyo tourism in 2020.  

“Operating from two airports in Tokyo with different flight times will also entice more Fly-Thru guests connecting from other cities within our global network, whilst at the same time, providing Malaysians more flight options to travel to Japan’s capital and largest city.” 

“We are pleased to offer promotional fares to Tokyo - Narita from as low as RM199** to stimulate regional demand. These special launch fares are on sale for this week only, so get in quick to avoid disappointment,” added Benyamin. 

In the video announcement, it was revealed that AirAsia BIG member fares from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo - Narita will be on sale from RM199* one-way for standard seats, available for booking from now until 25 Aug 2019 at airasia.com or the AirAsia mobile app, for travel between 20 Nov 2019* and 28 Mar 2020. AirAsia’s award-winning Premium Flatbed will also be on sale from RM999* one-way for the same booking and travel period.

AirAsia currently operates seven weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Tokyo - Haneda, as well as 21  weekly flights between Bangkok - Don Mueang and Tokyo - Narita. 

The four weekly services from Kuala Lumpur to Tokyo - Narita commencing from 20 November 2019* will deliver over 156,000 additional visitor seats through Narita Airport annually.
