MANILA, PHILIPPINES, 24 OCTOBER 2022- As a result of the Mactan Cebu International Airport closure, the following AirAsia Philippines (Z2) flights have been affected (23-24 October 2022):

AirAsia flight Z2 9047 (Incheon to Cebu) was diverted to Manila on Sunday night due to runway closure. Guests on this flight have been afforded with hotel accommodation and meals while awaiting for the resumption of operations in Cebu.

AirAsia Philippines Spokesperson and Head of Communications and Public Affairs Steve Dailisan said, “AirAsia would like to sincerely apologize to our guests for the inconvenience caused by the recent delays beyond our control. We would like to reassure our guests that we are in close coordination with airport authorities to facilitate recovery flights as soon as Mactan Cebu Airport reopens. All our ground staff in Mactan and NAIA Terminal 4 are on standby to attend to the needs of our guests, especially those that require immediate assistance in flight rerouting.”
