AirAsia Launches “Chiang Mai – Taipei” from Only 2,990 THB per trip! AirAsia’s Chiang Mai hub now serving 8 domestic and 4 international routes

CHIANG MAI, 21 October, 2022 - AirAsia Thailand continues to introduce routes and increase flight frequencies for both domestic and international destinations from its Chiang Mai hub, unveiling the latest  addition of Chiang Mai – Taipei (Taiwan) route, flying three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday starting this 15 December, 2022. 

With the latest route, Thai AirAsia now operates a total of 12 routes out of its Chiang Mai hub, reaffirming its market leadership just as it was crowned the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline for the 13th consecutive year by Skytrax in acknowledgement of its value, world-class service quality, on-time performance and safety and hygiene assurance.

  • 8 Domestic Routes: Chiang Mai to Bangkok (Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi), Phuket, Krabi, Hat Yai, Surat Thani, Khon Kaen, Hua Hin

  • 4 International Routes:   Chiang Mai to Hanoi and Da Nang of Vietnam, Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia*, Taipei of Taiwan

 Mr. Surapun Homkajorn , AirAsia Station Manager Chiang Mai said: “The tourism industry is making a strong return to vibrancy, especially with the year-end of year peak season approaching. Demand for domestic routes has increased significantly since the third quarter, as we continue to resume and reintroduce international routes. Chiang Mai remains a strategic hub for Thai AirAsia and is one of the fastest growing. Its first international flights to Hanoi and Da Nang of Vietnam will take place on 30 October, 2022 followed by Taipei (Taiwan), providing even more options for travel to people in Thailand’s north.
