KUALA LUMPUR, 16 March 2022 - The fastest growing e-hailing service by airasia Super App, airasia ride, launched a new feature - Community Drivers on its platform today to cater to different passenger needs and will kick it off with the LadiesONLY Driver community.
The LadiesONLY community will give female passengers the option to ride with lady drivers, and vice versa for a more comfortable ride. To book a LadiesONLY ride, click on the ‘Ride’ option on the airasia Super App.
airasia ride will also sponsor first time female drivers who wish to join airasia ride without prior e-hailing experience or without an e-hailing licences with exclusive benefits worth up to RM400 such as fee exemptions for PSV learning course and exams and free medical check-ups, while all active and new female drivers will receive a free dashboard camera (terms and conditions apply). Aside from the LadiesONLY, airasia ride will be introducing several other categories of Community Drivers in the coming months:

In conjunction with the recent International Women’s Day, airasia ride will donate all proceeds (excluding driver’s commission fee) from LadiesONLY rides between 8 March 2022 and 7 April 2022 to the women communities in need through Women’s Aid Organisation (WAO).
airasia ride drivers will also have the added advantage of leveraging one of the strongest airline brands in Asia, to better serve customers travelling to and from the airport. Guests on AirAsia flights now have the option of booking their rides upon purchasing their flights, allowing drivers to secure more jobs in advance and can plan their trips more efficiently and productively. They will also have real-time information on passenger arrivals, enabling drivers to have better time management by reducing waiting time, resulting in the ability to make more trips, and earn more.
On top of that, drivers take 85% of the net fares (excluding toll charges), higher than other e-hailing providers in the market, making it a viable part-time job option and side income opportunity. Fares on airasia ride are set based on fair pricing, which takes into consideration what our guests can afford while still compensating for any extra travel time caused by heavy traffic.
