AirAsia continues to offer choice, convenience with domestic services from both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi Airports

Guests can now fly from Suvarnabhumi to domestic destinations from as low as 990 THB

BANGKOK, 17 September 2024 - Thai AirAsia (FD) reaffirms  it is continuing to offer guests travelling on its domestic routes to and from Bangkok great options and convenience via both key airports of Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi. 

Guests who opt to fly from Suvarnabhumi to Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi and Hat Yai can grab promotional fares from only 990 THB one way. Promotion runs from 17 September to 6 October 2024 for travel from 1 July to 30 September 2025 via the AirAsia MOVE app and airasia.com.

Ms. Tansita Akraritpirom, Head of Commercial for Thai AirAsia said: “AirAsia is a leader in the domestic flight market in Thailand with its extensive network and convenient services from both Don Mueang and Suvarnabhumi airports. Since  September, the carrier is now operating four routes out of Suvarnabhumi Airport, flying to Chiang Mai (5x daily), Phuket (3x daily), Krabi (1x daily) and Hat Yai (1x daily) to meet strong and growing demand.”

“Domestic operations out of Suvarnabhumi Airport are continuing to grow and are becoming more popular among travelers. The four routes we currently serve saw an average load factor of 95% in the first eight months of this year. This is incredibly encouraging and we are confident this figure will continue to  rise during the final peak travel quarter of the year,” Ms. Tansita said.

Thai AirAsia currently operates 34 domestic routes, totalling 113 flights a day, from the four flight bases of Don Mueang, Suvarnabhumi, Chiang Mai and Phuket airports.

In another development, Thai AirAsia X (XJ) will begin flying direct to Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Sapporo, Nagoya and Shanghai from Don Mueang Airport starting this 1 October
